Global sportswear brand PUMA has launched a new initiative to unearth young Ghanaian talents between the ages of 13-16 from across communities in Ghana starting with the Greater Accra Region. According to officials at Cute Events Trading Limited, franchise holders of PUMA in Ghana, the idea behind the “School of Speed” initiative which is being pushed globally by PUMA, is to encourage the growth and create opportunities for the younger generation through sports and academia.



At an impressive launch ceremony in Accra on March 21, 2016, Cindy Eghan, Country Representative of PUMA Ghana, stated that “School of Speed is to help school children to combine sports and academia in order to realize their talents, dreams and aspirations.” “Sports brings people together and breaks barriers between culture, religion and class. It promotes fitness and health, teamwork and competitiveness and helps our children explore talents out of the classroom,” Eghan added.
